A series of new coaching courses have been launched in early 2016 for community rugby league coaches from clubs across London and the South East.
Two UKCC Level 2 coaching courses will be run for coaches delivering 13-a-side rugby league, one at Elmbridge Eagles, Claygate and the other at North Herts College in Hitchin. The Level 2 course is designed for those with some experience of rugby league and the requirements of coaching, and is a requirement for anyone coaching a team in the London Youth & Junior League.
The course dates are as follows:
Elmbridge Eagles
Day 1: Sunday 10th January
Day 2: Sunday 17th January
Day 3: Sunday 14th February
Day 4: Sunday 13th March
North Herts College
Day 1: Saturday 27th February
Day 2: Sunday 28th February
Day 3: Sunday 13th March
Day 4: Sunday 10th April

In addition, a UKCC Level 1 coaching course in Rugby League has also been announced to take place at London Skolars, Wood Green. THis course is for those who are looking for an introduction to working with groups of children, junior rugby league teams, or for parents of children in junior rugby league teams who want to get more involved. The course is suitable for parents, volunteers and those with limited experience of the game and coaching. The dates are as follows:
